pre 7 godine

On 3 October 2017, the Petlja Foundation signed the Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

On Tuesday, 3 October 2017 in the premises of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry and the Petlja Foundation signed the Cooperation Agreement. The Agreement was signed by the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mr Mladen Šarčević and the Director of the Petlja Foundation, Mr Nebojša Vasiljević.

The Ministry and the Foundation understand the exceptional importance of improving the teaching of computer science in primary and secondary schools, as well as strengthening and promoting computer science competitions; this agreement will provide a framework for further cooperation in the implementation of priorities in these fields.

Starting from this year, Computer Science has been given the status of compulsory subject for students of the fifth grade of primary school, while the students of the sixth grade are learning computer science according to the new curriculum as the elective subject.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Petlja Foundation has published the interactive learning materials for the fifth and sixth-grade programming. The objective of these materials is to support teachers in their work and to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills.

In addition, professional training is envisaged for Computer Science teachers. The Petlja Foundation prepared the professional development programme called “Teaching Programming in Fifth and Sixth Grade”, which received the support from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and it has been given the status of a programme of public interest. The first round of training will be organised soon, and detailed information will be provided to the public in due time.
